After a thorough search for a suitable piece of land over the last few years, FC Stars finally settled on a site at 70 McGovern Boulevard in Lancaster, MA for its new soccer complex. A 20 acre site was secured to allow for the ultimate installation of four synthetic soccer fields with floodlights. Phase 1 includes the first two fields wth lights and a 300 car parking lot. The ceremonial ground breaking took place on May 29, 2014 and construction started in June of 2014 by RAD Sports, the premier installer of synthetic turf fields in the Northeast region. The fields, floodlights, perimeter walkway and fencing was completed by November 10, 2014 and the facility was used for the first time as a host to the 2014 Nike Friendlies event. After an agreement was reached for support by Emerson Hospital, a competition was held among FC Stars Players to name the complex with the winning entry being "FC Stars Soccer Complex powered by Emerson Hospital"
This facility puts FC Stars in a unique position in Massachusetts and most of the country in providing long-term stability in accessing fields for practice and games and allowing curriculum development, team and functional training, and strength and conditioning to be supervised at one location for ECNL, NPL and Regional teams.
Phase 2 development of the facility should begin the the Fall of 2016, with construction of a 4,000 square foot clubhouse building cotaining admin offices, indoor gym, conference rooms, store and restrooms.
